Our Story
The First Brew
Island Girl started as a single location specialty coffee drive thru in 2011. The founders were Jeff and Connie Hurley, originally from Seattle who moved here to Guam to start their own coffee business. The first drive thru opened in Maite, this location has since been relocated to Barrigada.

​​​In 2018, The Hurleys sold the company to Richard Hawes. In 2019, Richard started a concept with a mobile Island Girl at Home Depot in Tamuning, currently the Yona location. Richard added another drive thru in Dededo at the Dededo Mall in 2021. In 2022, our new owners Torgun Smith and his wife, Peggy Paulino entered the business. The Tamuning location across from St. Anthony Church opened in June of 2024.
We are now proudly serving Guam’s BEST drive thru coffee at our five locations. Our baristas happily serve our customers with warm island hospitality and ensure fast delivery with consistent and quality beverages.
